Itinerary.

We pick you up at your hotel at 1:00 pm from hotels, Airbnbs, houses, and apartments in the historic center of Cusco. We will begin our tour by visiting the majestic Cusco Cathedral, located in the Plaza de Armas, where you will admire an impressive collection of colonial art, gilded altars, wood carvings, and over 400 paintings from the Cusco School. We will then head to Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, the most important temple of the Inca Empire, whose perfectly carved stone walls still support the colonial church of Santo Domingo, a living testament to the encounter between two worlds.

Afterwards, we will travel by our transport to the outskirts of the city to visit the four archaeological sites that crown the hills of Cusco. First, we will arrive at Sacsayhuamán (3,700 m / 12,139 ft), the impressive fortress built with stone blocks weighing up to 120 tons that fit together with millimeter precision. Your guide will explain the theories about its construction, its military and ceremonial function, and its role in the Inca resistance during the Spanish conquest.

We will continue to Q'enqo, a sanctuary carved into a natural rock formation where the Incas performed rituals linked to fertility and agricultural cycles. We will then proceed to Puka Pukara, a reddish stone fortress that served as a checkpoint and lodging for travelers on the Inca Trail. Finally, we will visit Tambomachay, known as the "Inca's Bath," an elegant complex of ceremonial fountains dedicated to the worship of water, whose crystalline waters flow constantly and unaltered since ancestral times.

Upon completing our visits, we will return to the center of Cusco, where you can continue exploring the city at your own pace. Your guide will recommend the best places to dine, shop for handicrafts, and enjoy the lively nightlife of the imperial capital.
